With an impressive resume spanning over 35 years in the retail motor industry, Richard has held some of the highest positions within a number of multi-site and multi-franchise groups. With humble beginnings as a trainee sales executive for Volskwagen & Audi, ironically in Rochdale.
Richard has since stacked up experience with volume brands such as Skoda, Mitsubishi, Fiat, Vauxhall, Citroen, Suzuki and Hyundai, as well as time within the premium automotive sector, including Jaguar and Mercedes Benz, including negotiating at senior management and Director level with manufacturers, banking institutions and investors for both private and PLC companies.
Richard has been married to his wife Karen for 36 years with a 23 year old son, a marketing graduate currently working and living in Dubai. A forward strategic thinker, one of his many talents is as an International Graded Chess player – who knew! We of course, only employ complete petrol heads and so Richards passion for cars, boats, jet skis and anything high performance is well placed. Other hobbies include being a season ticket holder at Manchester City, walking in the hills of Saddleworth, and blasting across the Irish sea on a high performance jet ski most weekends.

The V5 document, also known as the log book, has details of the vehicles registered keeper. To prevent fraud, we will only buy a vehicle from the person whose name is on the V5 document, unless we have written consent from the registered keeper to pay a third party.

We do not buy every vehicle but the ones we do buy, we pay very competitive prices for. In general, we only buy cars under 60,000 miles, bikes under 30,000 miles and vans under 80,000 miles. We will consider vehicles outside these ranges, but this is done on a case by case basis. By limiting the vehicles we do buy, we are able to offer a higher level of service to our customers. To value your vehicle, we use a combination of factors. We have an industry database that gives us much of the basic information we need, and this provides us with a valuation start point. However, the database is only half of the story. The remaining information we require is provided by you, our customer, and this is where we need an accurate and honest assessment of the vehicles condition. Once we have all the relevant details, we can provide a fair valuation for the vehicle and this is the offer we make.
